Common and widespread in regions where there is a mix of open fields and wooded areas. The coat of the red fox varies in color from solid reddish-brown to reddish-brown with silver or black markings. The lower legs and feet are black, and the tail has a white tip. An adaptable hunter and scavenger, the Red Fox eats a wide variety of plants and animals.
